We provide legal services to parents through the following programs.

Pre-Petition Legal Advice Project

We provide information and brief advice to parents under investigation for allegations of abuse and neglect.

Fair Hearing Project

We provide representation to parents in administrative fair hearings proceedings before the DC Child and Family Services Agency. These hearings may involve adjudication that eliminates barriers to employment.

Collateral Legal Services Family Preservation Project

We provide brief advice and referrals to parents on collateral civil legal matters that they encounter as they navigate all stages of interaction and engagement with the Child and Family Services Agency, from investigation to the post disposition stage.
